Weikersheim Palace is the jewel among the palaces of the Hohenlohe region. Here a water-surrounded castle developed into one of the most beautiful residential palaces of the Renaissance. The magnificently decorated rooms with their completely preserved interior appointments reflect the splendor of ages gone by.
The palace complex is surrounded by a magnificent garden unmatched in its artistic layout. It is watched over by more than 50 figures of gods and goddesses, dwarfs and allegories of the winds and the elements, and truly invites visitors to take a stroll.
The exhibition entitled "Wasserkunst und Götterreigen – Der herrschaftliche Schlossgarten" (Waterworks and Dance of the Gods – The Stately Palace Gardens) informs visitors on the history of the palace gardens.
Selected exhibition pieces from the apartments of the Counts, such as Asian and European china, faiences, miniature paintings and outstandingly crafted pieces of small furniture can be admired in the exhibition entitled "Allerhand Zierrathen" – Barocke Kostbarkeiten“ (All Kinds of Decoration – Baroque Treasures). The exhibition "Alchemie in Weikersheim" (Alchemy in Weikersheim) provides and introduction to the early form of natural science, which was at the same time an extremely mysterious art...
